((There's going to be just a little time jump here. I figure that way it'll give the pups a chance to snooze, and the others to complete their mission roughly at the same time as the Blooms stuff starts. So, let's say this is a few hours after the events with the coyotes))
When they'd arrived back at the den site, Damian had dozed off, his sister seeming on the brink of it. Careful as he could muster, minding the bite on the little wolf's foot, Agro set him to rest in the den area, and backed out. Little bugger was almost cute when he was sleeping. But then again, pups usually were.
The first point of business was going back to the kill to bring something back for the two to eat when they emerged again. Damian hadn't had the chance to eat, so would be voracious, and Dakota, like all pups, was growing fast, and would probably be hungry again as well. Plus, Agro could check the 'be nice to someone' chore off his to-do list for the day. He would have others tasks to worry about as it was.
With Claudius nearby, Agro had set to work on the Bloomsday preparation.
***
It wasn't a big festival to prepare for. He'd seen some packs throw some pretty lavish parties in the past, and by comparison this one was pretty paltry. The whole event could be contained in a proper clearing, such as this one near the den.
Traditionally the site was 'gussied up' for the females, which meant a lot of nonsense things to Agro. For one, loads and loads of flowers were carefully picked and laid to ring the area in hefty piles. The sheer abundance of Azaleas in this place had made the job much easier than it had been in the past. Agro remembered grimly the mini adventures in getting flowers in more difficult terrain. Some traditions just didn't make sense, but to Agro, all Blacktalon customs were significant and worthy of protection.
Of course, as Agro worked, he sang. He remembered a little ditty about ladyfolk, a song he'd learned from an old sheepdog years ago. The brute had tried to chase him off, and they'd scrapped for near an hour before deciding they were better friends. They spent the rest of the night singing and harassing the dog's poor sheep. Agro wasn't so sure about some of the lyrics, but it was a peculiar human song, and he liked that about it as well. Rearranging the flowers to look, by his standards, a little nicer, he sang in his gravelly, merriest voice.
"Let the wind and the rain and the hail blow high An' the snow come tumblin' from the sky She's as nice as apple pie She'll get'er own lad, by and by When she gets a lad o' her own, She won't tell her ma 'till she comes home, Let the boys stay as they will, For it's Alber' Mooney she loves still.
Tell my ma when I go home, The boys won't leave the girls alone, They pul't my hair and stole my comb, But that's all right 'till I go home. She is handsome, she is pretty She is the belle of Belfas' city, She is a-courting, one two three Please won't you tell me who is she?"

The pup was still asleep by the time the Bloomsday preparation was to be sorted. Though, Damian had no clue to what Bloomsday was about. He may have heard the other wolves talking about it at one point, but he probably wasn't listening as usual. He had no idea of what was in store for him. Though, it was very likely that he wasn't going to like it, but his sister was going to love it.
The little pup was tucked safely into the den with his sister by his side. Damian was snuggled up with his sister with his head buried into her side. Normally Damian would sleep with his head resting on his sister's neck, but with her latest injuries, that was not going to be the case. The pups looked pretty cute when they were sleeping. Their little chests slowly raising and falling in sync. His little stomach rumbling to the lack of food, but nothing was about to wake up this little pup. Not even the loud and rough sound of Agro singing. The pup gave out a little whine that would make other go weak in the knees. Damian could be cute when he wasn't mouthing off. The loud noise was making him squirm in his sleep. Poor little thing.

Aderyn padded through the undergrowth, making her way back to the den. Her pale brown fur was now filled with dust, giving it a dark dusty look. After the hunt she had gotten separated from the rest of the pack and now she was heading back to the den, hoping for a quiet lay down.
"Let the wind and the rain and the hail blow high An' the snow come tumblin' from the sky She's as nice as apple pie She'll get'er own lad, by and by When she gets a lad o' her own, She won't tell her ma 'till she comes home, Let the boys stay as they will, For it's Alber' Mooney she loves still.Tell my ma when I go home, The boys won't leave the girls alone, They pul't my hair and stole my comb, But that's all right 'till I go home. She is handsome, she is pretty She is the belle of Belfas' city, She is a-courting, one two three Please won't you tell me who is she?"
Addy twitched her ears at the singing and smiled slightly. She padded into the clearing and smiled at Agro, "Hey Agro. I miss anything important?" she asked. She then took a look at what he was doing and blinked, "Getting ready for Bloomsday is it?" she asked. She hadn't been around for the last one, but she and her sister had joined soon after. She had heard stories about the day and it sounded quite interesting to her.
She then took a peak into the den and her heart almost melted at the sight of Damian and Dakota. "Aww, how cute!" she smiled. "Don't tell Damian I said that though, he may just skin me," she said jokingly. She remembered when she and Afanen used to huddle up together like that with the rest of their siblings. Addy always seemed to get kicked in the face though.
As she noticed Damian's whimpering sounds she looked at Agro. "No offence, but could you perhaps be a little quieter, Agro?" she cast a glance back at Damian and Dakota.

((Back, of sorts so let me catch up in faily way x3x)) Afanen was leaning lazily onto her sister's shoulder. She was still kinda sleepy, as she didn't sleep much that night. As much as the female tried to keep her eyes open. She kept failing.

Once Dakota had walked back to the den with a sleepy expression, she immediately laid down with her snoozing brother. She got in a comfortable position and soon fell asleep as the bloomsday preparation was undergoing. Being a pup, she and her brother had no idea what was in store for them. They were only a couple of months old, and so didn't know many Blacktalon traditions. Though when Dakota woke up, it was a sure thing she was going to love this holiday, especially since recent events can make her boss her brother around as punishment for running off and going to leave her.
Through their sleep, Dakota and Damian had moved in a top and tail position where both of their heads was on the others stomach. Dakota was cuddled into her brother as her tail was wrapped around herself to keep herself warm and protected. They were both weary of each others injuries and so they naturally fell into this position of comfort for the both of them.
She'd been asleep for hours, and she was too content to even wake up. They had a long day with the hunt and then the coyotes. Dakota had spent most of the day being told off, or shouting at other wolves. She had screamed at Agro, though she didn't suppose he really cared. He always took her shouts in his stride. Though Claudius on the other hand probably hated her more, not that she cared. He could hate whoever he wanted.
She could start to hear groggy tones of the outside world and whined lightly as she cuddled closer into her brother cutely. One could assume that they were cute pups...until they opened their mouth that is.
Once again, Dakota began to doze off with her brother, not having any idea of what was in store for them on Bloomsday.Wolves Mentioned: Agro, Damian, Claudius.

Talan emerged from the bushes, his jaws clamped around a rabbit. It was obvious he had been on a hunting foray, and had been successful; indeed, the creature's blood dripped onto the parched ground. Shaking his pelt to rid himself of the dust and other debris that he had obtained during the hunt, the male stepped out of the foliage confidently, his tail brushing the earth as his eyes glanced around, seeking some shade. The sun burnt upon his back, and, tongue lolling out of his jaws, Talan continued to seek a place of rest.

The song made his ears prick in interest, and Talan looked up, dropping the rabbit onto the ground, where it lay crumpled. For a moment, puzzlement came over his face, until he chanced upon Agro, singing away to himself. Wait - is it Bloomsday already? Days and weeks went by so quickly, there was no way to tell. If it was, however, Talan already knew that it was going to be a few interesting days to come. Smiling to himself, the male dumped the rabbit in the shade, and glanced around for someone to converse with.

The Mongol grinned at the Geselle, a goofy, lopsided sort of look due to the lack of symmetry in his one-eyed face. "Hullooo Addy." He said, his tone a sort of crowing. "Ye missed the flower pickin', but ta-day that's work for the brutes o' the guild." He said cheerily. "Aye, celebration starts firs' thing in the mornin'. I figure this is my year'ta earn meself the Gentlewolf title. Clauds got it last year, well earned for the flack he took from the lasses, but take my tail twice if'n I'm goin'ter let 'im win again."
Agro famously never won the title of Most High Gentlewolf of Blacktalon. His laziness, gruff attitude, and tendency to mutter under his breath typically lost him the favor of the females. That, and there wasn't a gentle aspect to the old wolf.
When asked to lower his voice, he chuckled. "S'pose I could mind the volume a bit. Besides, song's over anyhow." He added. Typically he'd just start it over, and sing until he was distracted by someone or something else. "And o' course I gotta tell the lad what an angel he is when he's snoozin'. Give 'im a little o' that pos-a-tive reinforcement, maybe he'll figure out the ol' 'catch more flies with honey' idear."
One thing that should be made abundantly clear to you, dear reader, it Agro's disdain for this particular holiday. He hated it when the old pack celebrated it when he was just a pup, and when the females giggled at him as a juvenile, and when his own little sister Sche joined in the games, and when the pack became a guild, and all the years thereafter. While he hated Bloomsday as much as any wolf can hate a holiday, he did love the Guild, and every silly Blacktalon tradition. As the oldest member, it was his responsibility to defend the traditions of his kin, and pass them on to the little monsters of the Blacktalon, who would in turn preserve them.
So, he could be merry about the festival, as long as he didn't think too much about what was in store.
Out of the corner of his eye another Guild arrival caught his eye. Ah, the more males that showed up to celebrate, the more fun for the females. Also, the less likely that their feminine attentions would be on the old Meister.
"Ahoy and sal-a-tations!" he called to Talan. If he'd a tail on his rump, he'd of wagged it in greeting, but alas, it was taken as a prize by another fighter a long time ago, leaving barely a stump to remind those around of its former fluffy glory.
Teasingly, he turned his attentions to Afanen, who still seemed groggy. "Hopefully yer brighter-eyed tomarrow, m'lady. Ain't nothin' so sorry as a sleepy she-wolf on Bloomsday." Muttering under his breath to no one in particular, he added,
"The tired ones are usually the most trouble fer the rest o' us. Ain't got the energy for mercy for the fellas."

"Morning, sir," Talan responded, grinning at the older male and nodding in respect. "You seem very awake this morning, want any help for the preparations?" Having said this, the male shoved his rabbit aside, letting the carcass crumple onto the ground as he looked towards Agro. It was true what he had said; for an older wolf (there was no way to describe Agro otherwise) he did seem very lively, given his usual lacklustre, tired state. Then again, Talan mused, when Bloomsday came 'round, everything went a little odd. He was looking forward to the celebrations, in truth; he had never been chosen by the females before, and this year, the Lehrling thought he had a chance. A slim chance, perhaps, but a chance it was. Even so, Talan mused, he was certain he'd enjoy it. Even with Damian and the rather....unpolite youngsters. Turning his attentions away from the event and back towards Agro, the younger male awaited the other's response.

Aderyn laughed. "I'm sure you'll get it this year, Aggy," she grinned with a slightly teasing attitude. She then looked down at her sister and laughed, "Let's hope this one doesn't sleep through the whole celebration, eh? C'mon sleepy head! I did most of the running today and I'm not that tired. C'mon, cooooomeee on," she teased in a good nature.
"Ahoy and sal-a-tations!"
Addy turned her head as much as she could without disturbing her little sister and spotted the wolf Agro was saying hello to. "Hey Talan!" she smiled. "All prepared for Bloomsday? Dakota and Affy will have you running around like headless chickens," she grinned. "My sister's probably going to be real grumpy tomorrow, not that she's ever not grumpy," she teased, half-directing it to her sister in hopes of waking her up.

"Hopefully yer brighter-eyed tomarrow, m'lady. Ain't nothin' so sorry as a sleepy she-wolf on Bloomsday." Afanen twitched her ear and blinked opening her eyes, "Huh? What? Ah Ain't sleepin'!" she female said gotting onto her paws yawning slightly. "I'm awake okay..." and another yawn came... "...okay..." she found herself falling asleep again. Shaking her head furiously she blinked. "Oi." Affy frowned and up into sun for few seconds, looking away she exclaimed "Kai..now I am awake for sure." .
Looking around, the young female realised it's That lovely dovely time of the year again, grumpy expression formed on her face. As cute she may seemed this was not her time of the year. Or..was it and she just didn't know yet?

Damian was snuggled up to his sister who was currently keeping him nice and warm. He pushed his snout into her side and made sure that his nose was also being kept warm. However, the slight scent of a fresh kill wafted inside of the den. His nose twitched and the smell drifted up into his nose. He slowly opened his tired eyes and looked at the den's entrance. It was clear, which was a good thing. He didn't like it when it rained. It just made the forest floor muddy, which just made it difficult for him to walk without his paws falling from underneath him. So he was happy that the weather was on his side for once.
Damian's stomach growled as if it detected food nearby. He hadn't eaten anything and he was starving and he was finding it hard to fall back asleep with the noises his stomach was making. With a sigh, he decided that he'd have to move from his warm spot and collect the food for himself.
With a small yawn and a quick shake, Damian slowly got up onto his wobbly paws. His injured paw was still hurting him, but he made an effort not to limp. The tired pup dragged himself from the den and followed the scent of food. His eyes were barely open and he looked dazed as he limped out of the den, he barely looked like he could make another step without falling asleep. The day had really packed a punch on the little pup. He slowly walked towards the smell, but bumped into something and fell onto his hind. He looked up and saw that Agro was standing in his way. He gave a tired growl before he made his way over to the fresh killed rabbit.
It smelt so good. He could not wait to sink his teeth into the juicy meat. He was drooling just thinking about it. He finally got to the animal and found it to be a rabbit that was just recently killed. He snarled at it before tearing a small piece off and eating it whole. He let out a relieved sigh as he felt the food slide down his throat, making his hunger vanish. He grabbed the rabbit that was almost the same size as him and started to make his way back to the den with it, but then he remembered the pack. He stopped in his steps and locked eyes with them, daring them to take the rabbit off him. With a snort, he made his way back into the den, curling around his sister with the rabbit between his paws and munching on it's delicious meat.

Claudius had spend most of the time since they had returned alone. He wanted to think on what had happened. Of course, Damian was right. Not that Claudius would allow him to know that. He had been with the guild since his late juvenile stage, since he left the other pack, and Alice, behind. He didn't want to think about her either, just as much as he didn't want to think about his siblings. He thought about the rest of the guild. They had all been like family to him since he had joined them, and his confession about his siblings, and his misery at what had become of them, made him forget that he did have a family. The guild were like brothers and sisters to him. Well, most of them.
With a sigh, he made his way back to the others. With a smile, he remembered that it was Bloomsday tomorrow. His smile widened when he remembered that he had been named the Gentlewolf last year, and how determined Agro had been to get the title this year.
With the thoughts of his long gone family buried in his mind for now, he made his way over to the others. Agro had already begun preparations, and most of the guild was now gathered. He chose to not say much to the pups. Dakota would likely have some annoying comment to wind him up, and Damian would have some special insult brewed up for him.
He moved over to the others, a smile on his face. "Hello, everyone. Aderyn, Afanen, Agro, Talan. Hello to you too," he said to the pups, choosing not to comment further. He rolled his eyes at Damian going for Talan's rabbit, but said nothing.
"Bloomsday preparations are coming along nicely, I see. Want any help?"[/b] he offered.

Hearing some sounds behind him, Talan turned to see Damian already starting to eat some of his rabbit. The male did not mind, quite on the contrary; indeed, his face showed mirth. Usually, he would have been a little indignant - for he was a wolf who liked his food - but it was Bloomsday, and so he kept silent about it. After all, it would be a grand shame to spoil the good mood.
Hearing a voice, Talan turned his head, chancing upon Aderyn. "Morning, miss," he called over, his face already brightening with a grin. "I'm sure we'll be busy this Bloomsday indeed." This was his second Bloomsday, and it seemed that this one would be more taxing than the last - especially, as Aderyn said, with Dakota and Affy. It was funny, Talan mused, how the Bloomsday preparations and tasks seemed to get more diverse every year.
Still, at least it kept things interesting.

Agro chuckled when Aderyn hinted that Agro could be this year's winner. Females had said the same thing last year, but for some reason had changed their minds about it. It perhaps had a lot to do with Agro's griping, complaining, blowhard-ing, and even mild threatening more than anything else.
When the others offered to help in the preparations, he thought about what still needed to be done.. "Well, the flowers are all 'here now." He said. "Well, they're a bit thin over there, so I s'pose a few more loads'll do it. Other'n that, well... I guess Bloomsday don't need a lot o' prep, eh?" He said.
"Now, I jus' gotta remember how the durn holly-day works. Must be losin' me mind in me old age, eh?" Agro was probably as spry as ever, and pretty sharp in the mind. He usually claimed to be in his prime, but perhaps was about to try to use his age as an excuse to go be lazy and let Claudius handle the other details of the day.

Affy decided not to comment about her sister's words, not like she heard all of them from her half-napping anyway, and she looked around seein' evryone gettin' ready. "Mornin' ya guys," she now gave anyone around her proper 'good morning' and looked around. Her bushy tail flicked around and her ears twitched.
Looking up properly a beautiful day opened before young female's eyes. She took deep breath of fresh air then looked at Aderyn My sister's probably going to be real grumpy tomorrow, not that she's ever not grumpy, "Well boohoo, Ah ain't gonna be grumpeh sis!" Afanen said with proud tone in her voice. "Ah em actually gonna be smilin'...or try to. Besides I'm not always grumpy!" she said pouting. The joke from her sister's side was obvious, but Affy took stuff way too seriously sometimes
