"Why, of course not-""No."
Dakota frowned at Marina. It seemed like she wanted to say more, but decided against it. Why were there so many wolves that just wouldn't speak their mind. She scoffed at the lame response but nodded anyway, “Good. If anyone was going to ignore me, then I'd make sure they'd pay for it.” Dakota stated towards Marina, though her comment was directed at Claudius.
''Don't worry Scruffy, you will be fine. We're not ignoring you, we're just busy with the preparations for Bloomsday. At least, I'm gonna be busy now...''
Dakota lifted her head up to Mikazaru when he started talking. She still held the pout of her face and had her eyes narrowed depending on what he was going to say. She smirked a little bit at the term 'Scruffy' as she remembered the first time she shouted at him. Well, at least he's getting more of a backbone; still scared of me, but I don't mind that in the least. That's how it should be.
''But Damian.'', ''Let me thank you for caring, then. You too, Scruffy.''
Dakota's eyes widened, but in a flash she concealed that emotion and scoffed, “Pftt, like I care about you. Keep dreaming, elk magnet.” Dakota swished her tail around herself and looked away from him. She didn't care about him. She didn't care about anyone other than herself and her brother...and maybe Agro. That being said, it didn't mean that she hated the wolf, she was just very closed off. That was always the safest option for her in the pits, and now it's always stuck with her. So even though she didn't care about Mikazaru, she didn't want him to die (that's about as caring as she would get.)
“There's a different between caring, and showing a little respect. So yeah, whatever, you're on your way to getting it if you grow a backbone.” Dakota brushed off the comment as if it was nothing, “But don't get used to it!”
Dakota grinned at Mika. It was more of a sarcastic grin than a happy one, but still a grin nonetheless. She turned her head to Claudia, wondering if he was going to respond to her, but all he did was shrug. HE SHRUGGED! After causing her to be hurt more, she would think that he would at least do something. She didn't know what she wanted from him. She certainly didn't want a heart to heart from a wolf she had lost all respect for. But she hated the fact that he just shrugged off her comments so easily, “Oi! I didn't just waste my breath for you to shrug it off, you annoying, weak-” Dakota cut herself off with a growl. She was so mad at Claudius, “Fine! You know what? Do what you want, but you're going to be sorry tomorrow. Maybe I'll get a coyote to stand on your neck, so how good that feels huh?” Dakota huffed and was enraged by his nonchalance. She disliked the wolf before, but now she hated him.
Out of the corner of her eye she noticed a figure pad towards her. She furrowed her eyebrows and snapped her head in the direction. Seeing it was Chance she raised an eyebrow at him. Wasn't this the scared wolf? The quiet one? She wondered as she looked at him with a face full of sass (as Marina put it).
“What?” Dakota said with the same look as she watched his movements carefully. What was he doing? He was lying down next to Dakota, which severely confused the little pup. Though she didn't show it to him, she simply stared at him with a raised eyebrow.
"How about I offer my services to you tomorrow? Not as a usual one though. How would you like me to dedicate myself to you and you alone to boss around?"
Dakota was surprised by his suggestion. She tilted her head to him and narrowed her eyes, “You do realise what you just asked me right?” She wasn't expecting the wolf to offer his services to her of all wolves. Marina, yes. But her, no way.
Dakota furrowed her eyebrows at Chance and looked at him before a little smile appeared on her face. Not a happy smile as Dakota rarely ever smiled a smile like that, but a knowing smile. A smile that says that she is devising plans. She nodded to Chance, “Okay as long as I get to boss others around too. You can be my personal slave for the day. I wonder how long you'd last?” She questioned herself, though with Chance being right next to her, he would certainly hear. She meant to say it loud enough for him to hear. She wanted to scare him a little.
''Hey Dakota, wanna help find some flowers too?''
“Really? Have you not been paying attention today?” Dakota looked at him, “You're asking the wolf with hay fever to go out and pick flowers?” Dakota sniffled her boogers away and grinned, “Nope. Not going to happen. You and useless over there can do the girly chores.” Dakota smirked, even though she was female, she certainly didn't act like one. Her actions made her so similar to her brother.
Dakota shook her head with a chuckle at Mikazaru, he knew how to amuse her, even if it was unintentional. When Agro started speaking, Dakota let out a yawn and stretched her body slowly, getting all the kinks out of her muscles. Her neck protested a little, but it was getting better. Slowly but surely. She stood up and padded out of the gap between Marina and Chance and grinned at them, “Agro's right, you're going to need plenty of rest, especially you Chance.”
Without another word, Dakota ran over to her brother and pounced on him. She rolled around with him and kicked his bad leg with a smirk, “You should get some rest too, baby brother.”
