“What now? You mean for Bloomsday...all the girls get the guys to treat them like royalty. Like the guy did in the story? “Oh, I can live with that.” “I guess this is a good way to get back at anyone who's angered me lately.” , “Right, Dami?”
“Shut up, sis” He growled with warning laced in his voice. This Bloomsdays sounded like a terrible idea. Whoever came up with it was an idiot. Why would someone come up with a holiday like this? What was the point? The little pup didn't see any point to it. It just seemed like some silly holiday where the females can do whatever they want while the males were slaves. That was not sitting right with him. No female, not even his sister, was going to boss him around. Agro had a hard enough time with it; what chance did they think they had?
"If you think I'm the cause of wasting sicknesses, then I take my hat off to your imagination,"
Damian smirked as he saw the anger boil inside the white male. It was something he loved doing. He wanted the male to get angry at him. It delighted Damian to see that he could get under another wolf's skin so much. The full grown wolf was getting upset by a pup. It was like magic to his ears. Maybe by all this taunting the male would actually become a better wolf, but it seemed unlikely. Instead of focusing on how to improve and stop the pups on teasing him, he just remarked back in a childish manner. Some wolves just never grew up.
Finally! You actually listened to me.”“And anyway, don't go moping and feeling sorry for yourself. Get over it. Move on. There are worse ways they could die. Trust me.”
Damian nodded at his sister's words. The pair had been through a lot in such a short amount of time. Claudius was a wolf of the past, but the pups were wolves of the future. They don't pretend that the past never happened, but they don't let that hold them back. It helps them move forward, to become something different than destiny had written for them. “You wouldn't last a day where we came from” He snarled at the big white wolf. “You couldn't even kill a coyote at your size. You just made more problems. You caused the coyote to hurt my sister and stand on her neck even longer. Useless. Agro, despite his blind eyes is stronger than you. Marina, has moved on from her mate's death and is now stronger than you. Mika, is trying to be useful even injured. The girls are still together through thick and thin . The brothers, despite being cowards faced the elk. Dakota and I were pit dogs and are stronger than you. ”

Take a Chance. . . The male named Chance, had spent his time cleaning his fur, getting rid of all the dirt. The wash in the river had been great after that unscheduled mud bath. He as now glad his fur was clean. Having the clumps of mud sticking to it had been uncomfortable as it dried. It had caused him to be much slower in arriving back after they had reunited Issy and Tristan. Entering the area he looked at all the flowers, some with urine splashed over them. He wondered what was going on. The flowers scattered around seemed like some sort of celebration but he wasn't sure why somebody had peed on them. Seeing Marina he padded over to her. "Um, so what's going on?" he asked, keeping his voice low, a little embarrassed about being late to whatever it was they were doing. . . . to be clean!

Aderyn gently drifted in and out of her dream state, her brown ears now blocking out whatever anyone was saying. She was sure she heard Damian speak to her about the nickname. "Take a joke for once, it'll make your life better," she murmured quietly. If he hadn't said it then that would be embarrassing, but he did need to lighten up a bit.
The fae was then jerked out of her half dreaming half awake state as she heard Claudius speak to her.
"So, you think we're ready, Ads?"
"Eh, what?" the female looked up, her green eyes bleary. She twitched a year as what the Meister had asked her reached her brain cells fully. She was always slow when she had been woken up. "Ready?" she tilted her head. "Do you mean for Bloomsday?" she hadn't been listening of course so was a tad confused. "If for Bloomsday than yes, yes and yes," she grinned. "Sorry, I wasn't particularly listening," she smiled sheepishly.

Mikazaru just laid there, his head resting on his paws and his eyes staring off into the distance at what used to be nice looking flowers until Damian peed on them. He yawned a few times before getting back to his staring ritual.
After a few minutes he heard Aderyn and the others talking about Bloomsday, but he wasn't really listening. Paying attention took more effort than staring off into the distance. However, he felt he was done staring and looked up, lifting hjis head from his paws.
He sat up straight and yawned, then he stretched his limbs so he wouldn't fall down back to the ground. He looked around, a bit dazed and blinked his eyes a few times. His view was blurred and he couldn't get it back to his normal clear view, which meant he was still staring a little.
He closed his eyes and shook his head, then looked at Aderyn and got up, stretching his limbs some more. He sat down again after that and cleaned the last part of Dakota's booger out of his black fur, which he had almost forgotten. In all these minutes of doing stuff on his own, he hadn't spoken a word. He finally felt it was right to talk again.
''I wanna do sometyhing useful, or fun.'', he mumbled. ''Isn't there really anything I can do to help?''

Claudius twitched with annoyance with Damian. The little pup needed to know when to take his paw out of his mouth and shut up. He was fast getting tired of the pup. The best course of action was to ignore him, like he had started doing with his sister. But, before that, he would give him a little bit of wisdom that he had learned.
"A wise wolf once told me, that it takes a strong wolf to be able to show his emotions, and to face his past. There are different types of strength. Maybe I'm strong because I can acknowledge my past."[/i]
He addressed no one in particular, but it was Damian that he meant to hear.
"Take a joke for once, it'll make your life better. Eh, what? Ready? Do you mean for Bloomsday? If for Bloomsday than yes, yes and yes. Sorry, I wasn't particularly listening."
Claudius sniggered to himself at her jibe at Damian, and nodded. "Yep. The flowers are ready, the ones Damian peed on are covered up, don't think there's much more preparation for it other than that, eh?"[/i]
''I wanna do sometyhing useful, or fun. Isn't there really anything I can do to help?''
Claudius put his head to one side in though. "Well, tell me what you think about the flowers. Do you think we need anymore? To cover up the, uh, incident?"[/i] he asked Mika, hoping that he would know that he was asking if he could still notice the urine on the flowers.

It was hard to hear Damian speak to Claudius that way - she had never heard such things from a child before - but Claudius was obviously able to manage himself. Instead Marina curled up and tried not to eavesdrop.
She had just closed her eyes when Chance appeared.
"Um, so what's going on?" The fellow asked in his usual quiet way.
Marina looked up, noting that he had been swimming in the river.
"All cleaned up from our disastrous little adventure, ay?" She asked with a smug yawn; tomorrow was going to be excellent. "I wish them the best... Anywho, Bloomsday is tomorrow. Do you know what that is? You boys have to be our slaves for an entire day."
She looked around, too tired to think up any random chatter, then rested her head on her paws. Don't worry, Chance. I won't work you too hard tomorrow."

Dakota chuckled when Damian growled at his nickname, “Yeah, take a joke. Dami.” She smirked from her position and held a challenge in her eyes. For the mean time, he was being held down by Agro, so it's not like he could charge at her. Also, Bloomsday was tomorrow, so he had to do every single thing she would tell him to do. Her smile widened at him as she almost telepathically told him he was in big trouble for tomorrow. Nobody angers Dakota and gets away with it. She's not going to let herself be walked over or ignored. She had enough of it, and it was time she was treated in the way she thought she deserved. Well...she knew she didn't deserve to be treated like royalty, but she had no problem with it."Oh, yes, definitely!"”And boy, what a holiday this is, for we certainly deserve it. You see, Dakota, lassies like us, if we're careful and smart, hold great powers over the males - whatever they may believe. A clever female can have anywolf eating out of her paw."Dakota chuckled to herself and nodded, “That is very true. You can be the careful and I'll be the smart. We'll have the guys eating out of our paws.” Dakota grinned in anticipation.“You wouldn't last a day where we came from”The smile slipped off her face as she turned her head to Claudius. She gave a nod in agreement at Damian's words. It was true. Claudius was the type that moped around feeling sorry for what happened in the past instead of looking in the present. That was one of the things that annoyed Dakota about him; he was a lot of talk, but nothing else. She had to save her brother from being killed in the pits and she still managed to fail him slightly as he lost his leg and tail. Yeah, Dakota made fun of him for it, because she knew that would motivate him to become stronger. She knew who he was as a wolf and she knew that feeling sorry for him wouldn't help him in the slightest.
Still, it didn't stop Dakota having a feeling of guilt and annoyance towards herself that she wasn't strong enough. She never showed it to anyone, especially Damian, but there was a reason why she was so harsh and why she got into so many fights. She wanted to be taken seriously. She wanted to become stronger, so if anything like that happened again, she could save him.
She still wasn't there yet. She was only a pup and she recognised that jumping in to help Damian against the coyotes wasn't the smart idea, but it was instinct. She would protect him with her life.“You caused the coyote to hurt my sister and stand on her neck even longer. ” Dakota sat there shocked as she stared at her brother. Did he just....compliment everyone? She looked to the other wolves and frowned when they didn't seem to notice. Then she felt another pain her neck and the anger roared up inside her. She snapped her head to Claudius with a growl from her position beside Marina.
“He what?” Dakota spat out the words with a growl in her throat. Being on the attacking end of the Coyotes, Dakota had no idea that Claudius' intervening had caused them to press down longer on her neck. Now that she knew the truth from Damian, he anger flared up once more."A wise wolf once told me, that it takes a strong wolf to be able to show his emotions, and to face his past. There are different types of strength. Maybe I'm strong because I can acknowledge my past." “Don't ignore me!” Dakota shouted at him as she glared at his weak form, “I don't care if your strong or not! You're not only useless, but you hurt me even more. What were you planning on doing? Ignore the fact? Not tell anyone? Hope that it didn't happen?” Dakota continued to shout at Claudius. She knew that he was useless but she never thought that he would ignore the fact that he caused her to be more injured. She shook her head and spat at him, “I hold no respect for wolves like you..”
Dakota so desperately wanted Claudius to feel the pain of a coyote standing on his neck. Did he not realise they almost crushed her windpipe. She had choked as she was unable to breath and he just skirted around that fact as if it was nothing.
As if she was nothing.
She had enough of being ignored by everyone. They didn't seem to care about her at all. Not that she cared about them (or so she would say)...but why was it when someone else like Mikazaru is hurt everyone checks if he's okay? But if it's her then it's not important. Only the cripple is in the limelight. She's just in the background apparently.
Her sibling jealousy was starting to show through.
“I can say nice things about the others here, they're useful in some way.” Dakota stated, “Not that they would notice. You lot just completely ignored Damian saying nice things about you.” Dakota grumbled as she made eye contact with each of them. She laid her head on her paws and looked up at Marina, “You going to ignore me too?” Despite Dakota's intentions and mood, her expression probably looked cute from the angle she was at. Ears down and a little grumble and sneeze.
Dakota was never fond of other females, and so she didn't interact with many of them in the pack, but Marina on the other hand seemed to handle her fairly well on their brief encounter down by the babbling brook. So out of all the females, Dakota liked Marina the most. Though don't ask her to admit it. The stubborn pup would just avoid the topic. She wasn't sure why she asked that question? Perhaps deep down, she knew she would be disappointed if Marina did actually ignore her. That was something that surprised her.
She didn't care if she wasn't liked among the pack, but she cared about being seen. She had a voice and she liked using it, and if wolves weren't going to pay her any attention then she would get a lot worse.
She glanced at Agro and wondered if he liked her or not...something in her head told her she would be disappointed if he didn't. Perhaps it was because he had been the one to save them on both occasions? Or maybe because he was one of the only wolves in the pack that treated her like she deserved to be treated. Badly when she was naughty. Nicely when she wasn't.
“Marina may go easy on you, but I, on the other hand, will not.” Dakota looked back at Marina and Chance from her position laying down, “Better start sucking up. I'm not in a happy mood.”

Well, tell me what you think about the flowers. Do you think we need anymore? To cover up the, uh, incident?'' Mikazaru looked at Claudius and nodded, happy someone might asked im for his help. He indeed still smelled the urine from Damian's revenge for not being heard by the others. He could get flowers for them, he could make the place look more beautiful. He was excited.
Mikazaru heard Dakota mocking and turned around to look at her. He sat down and tilted his head a bit to the side, which made him look like a pup even though he didn't realize.
''I can say nice things about the others here, they're useful in some way. Not that they would notice. You lot just completely ignored Dami saying nice things about you. You going to ignore me too?'' Mikazaru wasn't sure if he should respond to this or not. He wanted to cheer the pup up a little, as he still felt like he needed to take care of every pup, even though some of them might to try and hurt his feelings.
However, he was afraid what Dakota's response might be, and he wanted to help the others with the preparations for Bloomsday, which meant getting some nice smelling and looking flowers to cover up Damian's urine. He decided to go for the easy way. A way he despited himself to think of, but it was the only thing he could do for now; respond to the pup, but yet not really respond.
''Don't worry Scruffy, you will be fine. We're not ignoring you, we're just busy with the preparations for Bloomsday. At least, I'm gonna be busy now...'' ''But Damian.'', he turned at the pup and smiled. ''Let me thank you for caring, then. You too, Scruffy.'' Then he turned at Claudius, looking the white male straight in the eyes. ''Shall I look around for some new flowers?''

Marina's ears flattened when Dakota joined in on the Claudius bashing as well. She felt bad for the pale fellow, but what could she do? This was not her conversation, and perhaps the children had a good reason to dislike Claudius. She remained silent, keeping her ears pressed against her head to try and drown out the conversation. It didn't work: “I can say nice things about the others here, they're useful in some way. Not that they would notice. You lot just completely ignored Damian saying nice things about you.”
Hastily Marina looked at Chance, who happened to be in the opposite direction of Dakota, biting her lip. She had heard Damian loud and clear, despite her attempt to ignore him. Somehow, the guild had already figured out her husband was dead - Marina hadn't wanted that. Each time he was mentioned or thought of, his ghost grew stronger. Marina had made peace with his death; she missed him, but she had moved on and now wanted to make a new life for herself. Seamus, the man she had loved, was gone. The ghost was not him; it was a hateful shadow who happened to take on his face and seemed to grow angry when his name was mentioned. Every day, Marina pushed him as far from her mind as possible, lest she wake in the middle of the night to feel a cold breath on her shoulder, or have a voice cry out and someone tug on her fur, or see those desperate, deer-like eyes. She didn't want them to know about her husband because she didn't want him to come after her again.
“You going to ignore me too?” Marina was snapped out of her silent panic attack by Dakota; the girl was looking at her with a face filled with sass.
"Why, of course not-" She refrained from saying child. Young as they were, these pups had the bitterness and wit of a world-weary adult. 'Child' didn't seem the appropriate term anymore.
"No." She finished lamely. At least it was true; for the siblings, especially Dakota, fascinated her. For reasons she did not know, she wanted desperately to be on the girl's good side. What HAD these pups been through?

Claudius refused to lose his temper with the pups. They were just pups after all, and he was a full grown wolf. Though the comment Damian made about hurting Dakota for longer made him think. He couldn't remember it. All he remembered was a fierce, cold rage, and afterwards, the pups consoling each other, and he had some blood on his muzzle. He didn't remember the attack: just hatred and rage.
He shrugged. There was little he could do now, and he wouldn't apologise to her in front of the others, not after months of taking her insults. If it was an apology she wanted, which he very much doubted, then she would have to wait.
He often wondered why it was the pups didn't like him. He couldn't remember doing anything to upset them particularly. He had even tried to get along with them, starting conversations, and offering to teach them to hunt. But they refused, and began to hate him, calling him useless. Lazy he could be, he would be the first to admit that, though not really a reason to hate someone.
He didn't care that she didn't respect him. He cared little for the opinion of others, except perhaps Agro, his teacher and confidant. Though he admired the love she had for her brother, he wasn't really bothered about what she thought of him either way.
Turning his back, he looked at Mikazaru. "Sure, Mik, if you think we need more flowers. I can show where some really spectacular ones grow, we can go and get some more together."
With a polite nod to Chance, and a quick, sympathetic smile to Marina, he moved off. He could tell that what Damian had said about her deceased husband had upset her, but he could offer her little comfort right now. "If anyone else would like to join us, it's not far,"[/b] he said cheerfully, before continuing to move.
The flowers could be found not far away, out of sight of the den, and only just out of view of the group gathered outside the den. The multitude of multicoloured flowers outside the den looked beautiful from this distance. He began to whistle cheerfully as he began to select some flowers to take back to finish the Bloomsday preparations.

Take a Chance. . . Chance let slide and embarrassed grin at Marina. He was glad to be clean though. His ears flicked at the mention of this Bloomsday, it sounded like an event to do with flowers. Her explanation though surprised him a little. It wasn't that he didn't think the female might deserve it but that the wolves had actually come to celebrate such a thing. He wondered why he didn't do it back as his birth back. It would have been nice to show some appreciation to his mother and sisters, outside his usual care toward them. He smiled, nodding his head as she said she wouldn't work him too had. "Thanks," he said softly, though he wouldn't have minded if she did so. The male considered her a good friend and he would do anything for a friend. His attention was turned to the pups and Claudius. They were rather rough on the white male; who, in Chance's opinion, was a decent wolf. Dakota's outburst made his heart go out to the pup, though he hid it from his face. Nobody else seemed to care about the female's outburst except Marina. He noticed her biting her lip. Chance gave her a small nudge, mostly just saying that he was there for her. As Claudius walked away Chance gave a nod back at the male but declined his offer to go with him. Mikazaru could go with the white male to collect more flowers. Instead the male padded over to Dakota. He knew he was risking a bite or a tongue-lashing but he didn't like seeing the pup feeling that way. Reaching her curled up form, he lay down beside her, at first not looking at her and not speaking. Slowly his voice came, it was soft as usual, "How about I offer my services to you tomorrow? Not as a usual one though. How would you like me to dedicate myself to you and you alone to boss around?" Chance looked over at her, he didn't know what she'd been through in her short life but it must have been so tough. He waited for her answer, knowing that if she accepted he would want a very good nights rest before then. . . . to show someone that you care

''Sure, I would like to help with that.'', he said and he walked over to Claudius. He stood near the white male, his tail wagging happily. He turned around to look at Dakota, who still seemed sad. He knew for sure she was going to yell at him for this, but he wanted to make sure she knew he wasn't ignoring her.
''Hey Dakota, wanna help find some flowers too?'', he asked her with a huge smile upon his face. The wagging of his tail had become faster and faster since he started speaking to her.

Agro listened half-heartedly as the wolves bickered and conversed amongst each other. However, he did not cut in with a witty comment or a wry remark, for reasons unexplained.
Agro was trying to remember the end of the story. He'd sort of lost track of it, and had differing versions of it warped together in his mind. It was just a story, after all, so he could change it, but that was not the point. He mentally cursed his old mind for forgetting how it went.
Holidays made Agro recall his age. With the seasons, they would blur together, and to track them would be difficult. But a holiday, a once a year event, could be counted. This would be his seventh Bloomsday, and come summer he would be eight years old. He'd been an "old season" wolf as they were called, born when the weather was getting hot, and considered a bad omen. Late season wolves were lazy do-nothings, the old story tellers would say, and treacherous more oft than not. Agro would argue the old teachings, but plent could point to slovenly behavior that would show him a late wolf.
Eight years was getting old for a wolf. But, he'd decided this year that he would live another seven upon his seventh birthday, and he was intent on it.
"Shall we finish this story in the mornin' then?" He asked gruffly, standing and releasing Damian from his hold. "I'm fixin' to call it an early nigh', so I can be nice an' fresh fer the lady folk in Bloomyday. I'll teach ye' the rules o' the holly-day first thing tomarra, Damian. I'm sure yer sister'll figur' it out with the 'elp of the other females. It's an easy game fer the ladyfolk, but the rules fer the fellas are a bit more... erm, complicated, le's say." He gave the cub a knowing smile, pleased to withhold the information from the eager little mind. If Damian learned the rules now, he'd probably hide out for Bloomsday and refuse to participate. He wasn't the type for demeaning behavior, even if it was all in good fun.
He and his sister worried the old Mongolian in that. Their fun often came in the form of cruelty, as though they'd only learned to bully and never how to make merry with their commrades. Was it Agro's responsibility to teach these pit dogs to be wolves? The thought would've made him cringe when he was a younger wolf. He had dozens of sons in all parts and places of their world, and he hadn't even so much as given them names, much less taught them a lick about the world and how it worked. But, he had been a young wolf then, all fire and glory and lust and rage, but now he was an old fart, as the kids called him, and worried about new and terrible things, such as his age, and about the proper rearing of someone else's pups.
Agro turned from the little wolf and trudged toward the den, intent on getting some sleep.

Mikazaru couldn't wait anymore for a response, neither if Dakota was gointg to help him or not, so he decided to go on his own. Claudius might know where to find good looking flowers, but the male wasn't patient and wanted to search for the flowers already, on his own if needed. ''I will already go look for some good flowers.'', he said, wagging his tail and he looked at Claudius. ''I will be back as soon as possible.''
He turned around to look at Dakota. ''If you want to come, you can. I'm already taking a look around.'' He ran around the area, inspecting the places where could be put some new flowers. The scent of Damian's urine hit his nose and he sneezed, then pulled a disgusted face. He mumbled to himself: ''Yeah, this place need some new ones, too...''
Then he ran off, out of the area. At least, the area where the other Guild members were, as for he was still around the Den. There were already a few good flowers at the edges of this open area, near the trees. Seperated from each other, but still together with flowers of the same kind.
There were yellow folowers and red ones, and also pink ones. Even purple and orange. Almost every color was around here, though the colors weren't really seen well, as it weren't too many flowers around this area. And they were pretty small, too.
But Mikazaru didn't want to get back empty-handed, and neither did he want to go too far. He still didn't know much about all the places the Guild went to, so he was afraid he might get lost on his way back, or even on his way still looking for flowers. The best thing for him to do was to keep around this place and hoping these flowers would be enough.
He ran over to the yellow flowers first, some of them were dandelions, others were the yellow kinds of pansies. He picked them up in his jaw and carefully tried to pull them out. Sadly that was harder than he had expected. He didn't want to destroy these beautiful flowers, so he started digging away the sand around them, revealing their roots. After that he grabbed them again with his jaws, and this time he was able to pull them out one by one.
With the yellow flowers clamped firmly, but carefully between his jaws, he ran back towards the main area of the Den. He walked over to Claudius and dropped the flowers in front of the white male, wagging his tail. ''Hope these look good enough.'', he said smiling. ''I saw a few more, in the colors orange, red, pink and purple. I will get those, too. Can you please bury these already before they might die by water shortage?''
Then the black male went back again. He didn't know much about gardening, never did he even do such a thing before. But he liked to help, and this task Claudius gave him sort of suited him. He was good at finding flowers, and he liked it.
After a while he had gotten all the flowers he could find. Only left a few little ones in the area near the Den to keep that place looking a bit nice, too. But of course it was all about the Den's area, which now was being colored with all kinds of different flowers. Mikazaru sat down and watched all the flowers. He smiled, wagging the tip of his tail slightly. He felt pleased with what he did.
(Out burst of sentences~ O3o'' ...Beware guys, I found back my inspiration. xD)
