Afanen sat down close to others who were prepared to hunt, and yet again cutting herself off of the world she begun to think quietly. Female's mind has been wondering through thoughts 'What should she do in hunting?' or 'What connected to hunting is she actually good at?' .
Razzy hissed in frustration, she couldn't think of anything and out of all things that could happen disappointing the guild was last she wanted! Her golden eyes looked up at sky then back down checking on everyone around her. It seemed each wolf was busy with something.
Afanen then looked at herself, her mix-of-colors pelt and her paws. She always thought they were weak, but to be honest, she never tried fully out to see if they ACTUALLY were. Maybe THIS is going to be my chance to find out.. she thought to herself as deep sigh escaped her mouth, Just don't mess up Afanen, just don't mess up... ((I have such short and lame posts x3x))

***Event*** Running. To fly, get away, be free from the hurtful words, the crushing reality of what she'd just learned, to escape the cold look of her father, the hurt in her mother's tight smile as she tried to reassure her that everything would be alright, and while she was hurting now, it would get easier. But that seemed impossible. If only she could run a little faster, maybe she could outrun the hurt. In the grass, she was just a ripple, a flash of grey in a sea of green. She cut through the field like an arrow through the air, but seemed to not have a target for which she aimed. With her head down, she ran headlong into the grazing herd of elk. Balking and screaming, they scattered and began to run. She didn't care. She didn't seem to worry about the elk's flailing limbs, the hunting wolves, the whipping grasses, or anything except running as fast as she could. Dashing a mere few feet from Claudius, Afanen, Aderyn, and the gathered hunters, she didn't slow or stop, but continued her frenzied dash. She was crying. With a sudden veering to one direction, she seemed to careen in the direction of the stream. As quickly as she had appeared, she was gone.

((I hope you guys don't mind me moving things up a bit. I didn't want the thread to stagnate too much. Feel free to post a catch up if you want. ^_^))
Agro quirked a brow at Mikazaru as the wolf addressed him. Agro hardly thought this the time for introductions, but some fellows took the business of getting to know someone very seriously. Perhaps he thought that the old Mongol was someone of importance, rather than a raving old coot as everyone else knew him to be. Sure, he was a Meister, the oldest and longest serving Guild member, but in a world without leaders that meant very little, in his opinion.
"Agro." He growled. "Name's Agro." Like he'd stated before, pleasantries were best shared over a meal. And suddenly, this one was moving.
What had gotten the brutes moving? Quite suddenly there were four or five elk barreling toward them. "On'yer feet, boys!" He hollered, suddenly springing to action himself. "Hey-o, Hey-o, watch the hoofs there!" Despite the sudden danger they were in, Agro, seemed more merry than he'd been all morning. Leaping suddenly with a whoop, he picked out a deer and moved to get him.
It was the buck from before, the one who'd lost the fight. He had fallen behind the rest of the deer, by a mere fraction. Not the best opportunity, but it would do.
He wasn't the fastest of wolves, but he had a shorter distance to run. He made the best use of his bulk, of course, and on the hunt it was no different. The sudden sound of flesh and bone colliding signaled that the bodies of wolf and prey had met, and the bray of the terrified elk seemed suddenly choked. The two went down in a flurry of horns and hooves and paws and teeth, and without the arrival of more help, the elk would be back on his feet soon and on the run once more.

Take a Chance. . . The quiet male turned to look at the other who came up to him and the one eyed wolf. He went on to ask the leader's name and about his position in the hunt. Chance was a little unsure about why he was asking this male about it after Agro had commanded the other female to take charge and she told him what to do. Just moments after Agro had introduced himself, things began to happen. The elk began to bellow, stomp and run. Chance's jaw dropped open in shock. One for the elk and two for Agro. The scarred male dashed straight for the herd, taking pleasure in the danger he was in. Chance himself was had his ears against his head and was staying light on his paws to keep out from under the hooves of the larger beasts. Among the elk he spotted another wolf running away, a female looking very upset. Pausing for a moment he watched as she run off. Somehow he'd ended up nearby Agro and his chosen prey, brought out of his gaze in the direction the female had disappeared, by the sound of elk and wolf. Getting over being startled Chance gathered himself to rush over and grab a mouthful of elk, helping to keep the creature down. . . . to get in on the chase

''Agro. Name's Agro.'', the brute with one eye said to Mikazaru, who nodded. ''Nice to meet you.'', he said, hoping the male called Agro would accept his answer. He wasn't sure if Agro already knew his name. He probably did, but Mikazaru was too scared to ask.
Just when he thought everything had settled, he heard hooves stamping on the ground and looked up, following Agro's gaze at the open fields; the elk had began to run. But why? And how? He looked behind him to see the wolf called Chance, his jaws dropped in shock at this male looked with them at the bolting and running elk.
''Dear lord... How...?'', Mikazaru mumbled as he looked again at the chaos in front of them. if these animals couldn't look, they would have bumped into each other by now. Sadly they all avoided each other, worst thing was they were getting away.
''On'yer feet, boys! Hey-o, Hey-o, watch the hoofs there!'', Agro yelled as he jumped up, leaping into action. Mikazaru needed some time to realize he had to go after the Meister and he looked at Chance. ''Come on, let's get them!'' He ran after the Meister, keeping up with him.
Agro had already chosen a good elk when he jumped into the field to cause even more chaos. Mikazaru only could folow him, hoping he could have a chance to show he was good at hunting, too. He ran behind Agro, running past the male on his right. They both chased the elk. Mikazaru gave Agro a glance, hoping the brute would make the first move, so Mikazaru didn't have to do all that much. Agro indeed was there to make the first move and the elk got out of its own path, almost falling down, but soon it got back to its feet and ran off again. Then Chance appeared behind them, helping them in the hunt.
Mikazaru was getting tired, but he knew he had to keep running, he had to keep chasing this elk. Mostly he was good at running for long distances, but he became nervous once the elk began to run, and when he was nervous, he became tired easily. This wasn't the right moment to be tired.
He took a deep breath, sucking all the air into his lungs so he would have a big amount of oxygen in them, and he jumped forward. He bit the elk's leg, who almost kicked him. He avoided the kick in time and tried to bite again, but missed the second time. The third time he bit the elk's legs again, small blood stains fell onto the ground as he felt his teeth sinking into the prey's flesh.
He tried to bite a fourth time, but got a blow to the side of his body as he tried to avoid another kick. The kick wasn't hard and didn't damage much, but it hurt a lot. It made Mikazaru stumble over his own paws and fall. He got up slowly, catching his breath. He wanted to help for longer, but knew he would never be able to catch up on them again, so he hoped for the best, and tried to motivate the two other wolves. ''You can do it! Keep on chasing it!'', he yellled after them.
Mikazaru knew he had made a split decision, a bad one. He should have chased the elk for longer so it would get tired and sow down, instead of biting it this soon. Those bites were a mistake, he knew. He laid down in the grass, watching the two wolves chase after that one elk, as he caught his breath slowly but steady. I messed it up...

Claudius had allowed his mind to wander. Aderyn was organising the chase, so he allowed himself to drift off until everyone was ready. Pleased that Marina had calmed down after her initial worry about the hunt, he began to hum tunelessly to himself, trying to think up another of his famous riddles to annoy someone with.
He was brought out of his reverie with a jolt as a shape darted past the group. He jumped with surprise as whatever it was ran past him, and it took him a few moments to realise that it was a wolf. Claudius stared with surprise as she ran towards the stream, and it seemed to him like she was crying. He didn't recognise the wolf, but she could be a member of the Azalea pack, he supposed. He turned and looked back where the female had come from. There was no sign of anyone chasing her, so he guessed that she wasn't in any immediate trouble.
Unlike the rest of the hunting party.
He jerked his head up as he heard Agro's shout, and saw that he, Chance and Mikazaru were chasing after an elk, one of the bucks. The elk had been scattered, likely by the female who had ran past them, and they were giving chase. His heart missed a beat as Mikazaru was kicked by the terrified beast, and Agro and Chance continued to give chase. As Agro jumped on the elk, the two went down, fighting mercilessly with each other. Claudius had to make a quick decision. He didn't know who that female was, and likely she was already long gone, but he didn't want to leave her nonetheless, especially since she seemed in great distress. But Mikazaru was injured, and Agro and Chance needed all the help they could get.
Cursing, he made a mental reminder to search for the upset female, and made his way over to Mikazaru. He would've asked one of the others to go after the female, but he didn't want Marina and Aderyn to go looking around down the stream for someone that may not even be there. As he reached the male lying on the ground, he looked him over. He didn't seem to badly hurt, but Claudius was no judge on these matters. For the first time in over a year, he wanted his mother's help. She knew how to help anyone, and he didn't have a clue how to help sick wolves.
"Are you okay?"[/i] he asked, slowing down as he stood next to him. He turned back and looked at Aderyn and Marina behind him. "Ladies, do either of you know anything about medicine? Mikazaru's been hit, I don't know how to help him, would you be able to? Please?"[/i] he called, his voice slowly creeping up to a high pitched whine. Taking a breath, he calmed his voice and continued to speak to them. "I'm going to help Agro and Chance. I'll be back as soon as I can."[/i]
Claudius didn't have to go far to catch up with the others; Mikazaru had fallen a few feet away from where Agro and Chance were fighting with the elk. Quickly glancing back to Mikazaru, he turned and leapt towards the elk. Carefully avoiding the creature's flailing legs, he grabbed the elk, his strong jaws tensed, helping Chance to keep it down for Agro to be able to finish it.

''Are you okay?'', Mikazaru heard behind him and he looked up to see Claudius, the other Meister. He was looking at the black male, he seemed worried. Mikazaru wanted to tell the wolf he was fine, but Claudius was already looking back at Aderyn and marina. ''Ladies, do either of you know anything about medicine? Mikazaru's been hit, I don't know how to help him, would you be able to? Please?''
''No sir, I'm fine. I really am fine...'', Mikazaru mumbled as he slowly got up. He was a bit weak on his legs, and almost feel down again, but luckily he could keep his blance in time. He looked at Claudius. ''I'm going to help Agro and Chance. I'll be back as soon as I can.'', he said and he took a short glance at Mikazaru before going after Agro and Chance to help them. Mikazaru wanted to go after him.
''No, I'm fine, I really am!'', he said, even though he felt a bit dizzy. He had a sharp pain in the back of his head, but knew the actual pain was down at his side. He took a look at it to see he was bleeding. But that didn't bother Mikazaru. As long as it was his own blood, it didn't matter to him. ''I can hunt...'' He tried to walk, but every step made his side hurt even more. He tried to ignore the pain, but it kept coming back, nagging at him, telling to sit down and rest for a moment. But he wanted to help the others so badly. He wanted to be a respected part of this Guild. He had to fight the pain.

Marina entered the fray with a mix of excitement and trepidation. She felt her body moving, her paws thrumming the ground, but she had little idea where she was supposed to be going. Allowing her tongue to loll off the side of her mouth, the lass sprinted, attempting to keep to Claudius like moss to a rock but automatically sprinting several feet ahead. Everything was a whirl of elk and wolf and dirt; the lass tried to pick out their target and failed.
As confusing as the scene was, a single thing managed to catch Marina's attention, like a shooting star crossing the night: a small wolf was racing perpendicular to the action, dodging the feet of elks and causing a few guild members to turn their heads after her. Marina blinked, positive that this one was not a part of the group at all - but where did she come from? Instinct told Marina's muscles to keep pumping after the elk, but it didn't stop her limpid blue gaze from following the stranger as it raced down a slope and out of sight.
A sharp yelp brought the bespeckled lass back to reality, and she turned back to the hunt just in time to see Mikazaru collapse to the ground and roll a few times before coming to a stop practically at her speeding paws. Going too quickly to stop, Marina leaped over the black form before skidding to a stop and whipping around.
"Are you quite alright, Mr -"
"Ladies, do either of you know anything about medicine? Mikazaru's been hit, I don't know how to help him, would you be able to? Please?"
Marina nearly nodded as Claudius sped off, then looked at Makazaru. The fellow had already gotten to his feet, panting heavily, and was looking toward the elk with blood on his mouth and frantic eagerness in his eyes.
''No, I'm fine, I really am!'' He yelped, giving the blood on his side and absent glance. ''I can hunt...''
With that he started hobbling away; obviously he was in pain. Marina dashed after him, skidding to stand in his way.
"Don't be silly," she soothed, unconsciously taking on a maternal tone as she blinked softly at the lad. "Missing one hunt is better than missing a hundred because you got your skull is smashed in. Claudius told you to rest, and I'm afraid Aderyn and I not going to allow you to disobey."
A small thought tugged at the corner of her mind, almost guilt, when she added, "Some risks aren't worth taking."
Biting her lip, the lass looked over her shoulder towards the battle. All she could see was blood and fur and dust - if the wolves were winning, she couldn't tell. "Helping" Mikazara could be her ticket out of the hunt. Besides, they could stalk that stranger, perhaps see if it was still there.
"Come on," she said, still carrying that motherly tone. "Let's go to the stream, get a drink of water, and take a breather." She looked around for Aderyn, hoping for support especially if Mika expected any medical care.

With just dropped jaw Afanen watched the fight, she couldn't do anything she was frozen in one spot watching with her golden eyes barely even blinking. She shook her head as she heard Claudius' voice "Ladies, do either of you know anything about medicine? Mikazaru's been hit, I don't know how to help him, would you be able to? Please?"
The female narrowed her eyes, she was the one who knew herbs and medicine so without waiting she walked over to Marina and Mikazaru, she looked at his side and carefully asked, "Where does it hurt the most?" her eyes watched his side carefully and caring-ly.
After a bit, Razzy looked up from the wound and looked at the two wolves. She heard Marina's words from before and she completly agreed.
"Let's go to the stream, get a drink of water, and take a breather.
"I agree, by the stream I could check the wound and see if there's something I can do about it. she smiled at the two wolves.

''Don't be silly. Missing one hunt is better than missing a hundred because you got your skull is smashed in. Claudius told you to rest, and I'm afraid Aderyn and I not going to allow you to disobey. Some risks aren't worth taking.'', Marina said as Mikazaru continued his way to Agro and Chance. He stopped for a moment and looked at the two wolves, hestitating. Then he turned around to look at Marina. Afanen had just joined them and as she took a glance at his wounded side, she asked the black male: ''Where does it hurt the most''
''Well, it doesn't really hurt...'', Mikazaru lied and he looked at his side. ''But maybe a bit... eveywhere?'', he continued and he chuckled st his own stupid words. Of course it hurt. His side hurt a lot. But he didn't want to show it. He has been looked weak his whole life. This Guild was a new opportunity for him to look strong.
''Come on, let's go to the stream, get a drink of water, and take a breather.'', Marina said and Mikazaru smiled. Yeah, he needed a break, even though he didn't feel like now was the time to. But his side hurt too much to even describe it. There wasn't much blood, but mayve the elk had hit one of his muscles.
''I agree, by the stream I could check the wound and see if there's something I can do about it.'', Afanen said and Mikazaru nodded, hopping over to the two. He could stand on all four his legs, but it were the muscles in his side that made it hard to walk. He groaned out of irritation. If he had avoid that elk's kick, he had been there with Agro and Chance, probably already taken that prey down.
''The stream... yeah, yeah... sounds good to me, too...'', he mumbled, groaned a bit more, trying to hide his pain from the two wolves. He didn't want to show any weaknesses.

It really wasn't this elk's day. First he lost a spat with another of his herd, and the next thing he knew he was on the ground with a wolf snapping at his throat.
If it hadn't been for Chance and Claudius, the brute may have gotten back to his feet. As it was, he had the upper hand in the scuffle, as when he and the Mongol went down, the elk had come out on top. Fortunately for Agro, the full weight of the elk did not come down on him, but the strong neck of the beast had pinned him momentarily. Agro kicked and cursed under the brute, scrambling to avoid the hooves and antlers, while at the same time trying to get at the throat again. He'd gotten a good nip on him before, and there was a smearing of red over the elk and wolf, making it difficult to tell who was the one injured in this situation. Now with the help of his compatriots Agro was able to kick his way to freedom. Rolling to his feet like a seasoned fighter knocked prone, he lunged in to help finish the elk off.
In a few moments, the elk's struggling ceased, and it lay dead at the feet of the wolves. Agro finally loosed his grip, and took a step back. Adrenaline made it impossible for him to discern yet whether he'd been injured in the tussle or not, but it didn't seem that he was.
He grinned foolishly at Chance and Claudius. "Well now, that wasn't so bad, eh?" He said lightly. Looking again at the dead beast, he shrugged. "Atleast fer us, I s'pose. Not fer him."

Claudius was relieved when Agro freed himself from underneath the elk, and made quick work of finishing the hunt. With a relieved sigh, he let go of the creature, and stood straight. He could still hear his heartbeat in his ears, and he could still feel the adrenaline rush from fighting with their quarry.
"Well now, that wasn't so bad, eh? Atleast fer us, I s'pose. Not fer him."
Claudius returned Agro's grin, and gave a short, breathless chuckle. His eyes strayed to the blood on Agro's coat, and he looked at his friend in concern. "You alright?"[/i] he asked, his breath coming out in short huffs. Managing to get his breath back, he looked back over to where Marina and Afanen were helping Mikazaru. He turned back to Chance, his eyes quickly taking in the other wolf's appearance, looking for any injury the elk might've dealt him. "What about you, are you okay?
Turning back to Agro, he looked at his fellow Meister, a look of seriousness on his face. "Mikazaru took a bit of a knock when the elk kicked back. The girls are looking after him for now." He decided not to say anything about the upset female for the time being, remembering that he would go looking for her later, when everything had calmed down a bit. For now, it was more important that the guild was all present and correct, and not injured from the elk's terrified retaliation.

"Who, Moi?" Agro asked innocently, the crooked grin masked in playfulness. "No elk'll be the undoin' of ol' Aggy. I think tripod's got a better shot at it then one o' the meaty beasties." He said.
"O'course, ye'all gave us a bit o' a stir when you got 'em runnin'. Did some o' the strangers give Ads a hassle?" Agro had not seen the strange wolfess, having been distracted by the wolves with him and with his preparations for the hunt. For all he knew, it was botched by guild members, but he never threw about blame like that.
He smirked accidentally when he learned of Mikazaru's injuries. "I warned 'im about the feet." He said. "Nasty kick, but if anyone'll put 'im back together, it's Affer." He shrugged. He lacked a certain sensitivity to the injuries of others, due to the fact that he'd suffered many of his own over the years without too much complaint. Turning to Chance, he gave a grin. "Not too bad out there, boy-o. Least ye didn't get bowled over, eh? Got that on me, I s'pose, and I gotta respect a wolf that stays on his feet!" He gave a wheezing laugh, seeming in better spirits than before.
"So Clauds, are we taking some o' this meal to go? Course, I'm eating now, but I guess everyone's earned a share today." He smiled at his little jest. If half the guild was tending to the wounded, it would make sense to bring them the meat they'd just acquired.

"Who, Moi? No elk'll be the undoin' of ol' Aggy. I think tripod's got a better shot at it then one o' the meaty beasties."
Claudius snorted with laughter, his eyes full of amusement and relief. He knew Agro was made of sterner stuff, but the sight of the blood of another always made him worry. He had often watched his mother treat the sick and injured, and it always made him turn away. It wasn't the sight of blood that bothered him, but the cries of pain that the other wolves often made.
He hadn't missed the comment Agro made about Damian either, which made him chuckle all the more. "Glad to hear it,[/b] he said, turning to look at the elk that they had brought down.
"O'course, ye'all gave us a bit o' a stir when you got 'em runnin'. Did some o' the strangers give Ads a hassle?"
Claudius turned back to Agro, frowning. "He must have missed the other wolf, then," he thought, saying, "Not at all. We didn't even get the chance to start the chase. A wolf, none of us recognised her, came running through the herd, spooked 'em."[/i]
"So Clauds, are we taking some o' this meal to go? Course, I'm eating now, but I guess everyone's earned a share today."
Claudius nodded. "Aye, the others have got Mikazaru down by the stream. I'll go down and tell 'em to come and take what's theirs,"[/i] he grunted, taking some of the elk for himself. He hadn't realised just how hungry he was until Agro mentioned eating, and he was grateful to get some food in his stomach.
"Are gonna come with? Someone's gotta go and tell the pups that it's time to eat, too,"[/i] he asked, looking at Agro and Chance, before padding down towards the stream, taking it slowly, so he wouldn't end up nose face in the dirt again. He would see if he could find the female that had ran past them while he was there, too.

Take a Chance. . . Chance looked back as the male wolf got hurt. He couldn't risk more than a glance though as his attention needed to be on the last of the hunt. When the elk finally let of of life, the last of it's struggles dying away, the male finally let go. Panting heavily he nodded at Agro, the lead going on about how the hunt hadn't been that bad. Like always Chance was just glad no one had been lost to them. Mikazaru's wound would heal and he would be fine. Sitting back he looked from Claudius to Agro. He nodded again, agreeing that he was okay. "Not too bad out there, boy-o. Least ye didn't get bowled over, eh? Got that on me, I s'pose, and I gotta respect a wolf that stays on his feet!""Um, thanks," Chance muttered, staring at the ground and raking his claws in the dirt. Staying on his feet was something that the male considered himself able to do, when not being bowled over by his larger siblings. Glancing down at the elk he thought over Claudius' words, inviting them to come while he rounded up the others. The meat looked so inviting, fresh and still warm. "I'll come, but just let me..." he uttered, moving over to the elk and taking a bite. Tearing off some meat he gobbled it down as he walked after Claudius, some blood still on his muzzle. . . . to eat your fill
