The party don't start ... As she arrived, Blake gave a small frown. Of course the scents would be familiar. There was Chance, and Chase was not far. However, when Chase charged her and began to tug at her ears and tail, instinct kicked in for the dark female. She wheeled back and let loose a snarl while simultaneously smiling at her brother with her paw. Nothing to hurt - just enough to send the message that his incessant tugging was not met merrily. "Of course I know it is you, you oaf," she retorted.
Despite that, however, a warm smile creaked onto her features. No, really, the muscles had not been used in so long, that they may as well have been as rickety as an old, abandoned home. "I cannot fathom how I managed to stumble upon the both of you," she remarked, almost in awe. "Have you traveled together long?" While she went about her question, Blake sat and picked at the mess that her tail was in. To herself, she grumbled. Her brother was not the smartest, and while it annoyed many (herself included), it worried her more than anything. Was this his home, this pack? Chance was with him, which led for at least some form of relief, but what of their other siblings? With a gnaw of worry, Blake wondered if the two brothers she had before her now knew anything of the fates of their other siblings.
Gazing through her silver eyes upon Chase, Blake almost let her worry show. Almost - she caught it in time and kept up her distant and somewhat cold manner, of only to protect herself from the potential bad news. She blinked as she eyed the unknown wolves. They did not share a familiar scent, and that was reason enough for Blake to believe that she should take a stand to make sure that Chase and Chance did not wind up in some poor position.
For all intents and purposes, Blake did not answer her brother's question. Some of the things were things that she did not wish to speak of, and other reasons included wanting to mess with her beloved brother. Oh, how this would but him! Smirking to herself at her private little joke, Blake cast her silver eyes to her multicolored brother. Many things had not changed in the time that they had been apart, but then again, so much had shifted and altered that Blake feared that there was no return to the happy golden days when all their family gathered with song, lore, and feast. ... Take a Chance. . . Chance just grinned at his brother as he was asked where he had been. Following you my dear brother... Glancing over at the pack before them, the male kept his tail low, not wanting the pack to think he was aggressive. His brother was proud of his find but Chance was not so sure. A pack might find to male wolves threatening and chase them off. That was when one of the males, came over, quickly pursued by two female. The yellow/grey gaze of the male followed another large male as he went off with two pups. He rather liked pups. As Chase asked him about the pup, Chance couldn't answer. He wasn't sure, but it looked like he was missing a leg and tail. With the male in front of them speaking, Chance turned his attention back to the wolves now somewhat surrounding him and his brother. Chaim, where are you? At least there would be even numbers then. The quiet male was glad his brother was the one to introduce them. He didn't much like talking unless he needed to. Though it seemed he may have to do some, as Chase wasn't the best at explaining things. Suddenly however, Chase ran off, leaving Chance alone with the new wolves. His tail curled around his rear legs, slightly nervous. "Um, hi..." he said looking at the wolves, taking a step back. Glancing over at his brother, he heard him shouting a familiar name. The wolf he was with even looked like her. Could Blake really be here?. . . to meet a wolf |

[/i][/ul] Chase lowered his ears and cringed slightly as Blake growled at him for tugging on her tail and ear, He whimpered submissively and his tail wagged. He was happy to see his sister and continued to bounce around her happily. He licked her cheek, covering her in drool and saliva. He giggled and rolled onto his back rolling in the grass. [/i][/ul] Chase didnt understand the word " Fathom" meant. He never really understood a lot of what came out of Blake's mouth. She was different. All of his siblings seemed to be rather smart, but Chase missed out on that part. He would often find himself left out of things, because of it. But that didnt matter, he was happy to see his sister again. "Oh yeah its me, Chance and Chaim. But I dont know where Chaim is. He's disappeared i think. We finded this pack! We might join. You should too! Where is Cas and Alexis? Are they here with you. Can i see them?" he barked happily getting up and jumping all over his sister again. |

"Well. Well My names Chase! This is my brother Chance, and I have another brother Chaim, though i dont know where he is... Um what was the question again?"
Claudius watched as the wolf, Chase, ran off to a female who had approached them, Blake. He turned to look at Chase's brother, Chance, a questioning look in his eyes. He nodded at the other wolf's greeting, and swished his tail in irritation at the lack of answers the wolves were giving him.
"Oh yeah its me, Chance and Chaim. But I dont know where Chaim is. He's disappeared i think. We finded this pack! We might join. You should too! Where is Cas and Alexis? Are they here with you. Can i see them?"
"There's more of them?" he thought, looking around them. He couldn't see any other wolves nearby, but that didn't mean that they wouldn't catch up soon. When Chase mentioned joining the pack, Claudius spoke.
"Now, hold up, you three. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. We are currently going on a hunt. Would you care to join us? We can talk about you joining the guild once we've eaten, hmm?"
Claudius' gaze went to each wolf in turn. They would be welcome in the guild, and they wouldn't be the first wolves wanting to join them. Having them join the guild on a hunt would be a great way to see if they would fit in with the Merry Mongrels.
Claudius turned, and spoke quietly to Aderyn and Afanen. "Let's go and join Agro on the hunt, before he gets fed up of waiting and eats Damian." He chuckled to himself at his little joke, before beginning to make his way to the Azalea pack's hunting grounds. "Follow me, if you so wish. We can discuss joining us when we get there." Claudius took off, running at a steady pace, careful not to fall over any more stones, and made his way to the Azalea pack hunting grounds.

Mikazaru ran and ran, wondering where he would crash for his rest. He stopped for a moment, smelling the air. For so far he knew, there were no wolves around. He hoped it would stay that way for a long time, as he was pretty much afraid of other wolves. Not that he was afraid, but he felt shy around others, even though he was looking for a pack to stay with.
He started to run again, what felt to him like hours, until he smelled the scent of wolves. Wolves he might have never seen before. He felt nervous; maybe this wasn't a pack for him. He never knew for sure if a pack would fit him.
But maybe he had to find out someday. It wou;d be bad if he didn't look around for a few wolves that could be part of this pack.
He sneaked up to a few bushes and peeked his head through it, looking around the clearing. There indeed were wolves around. He wasn't sure wether he should go to them or turn around and run. He decided to take a risk and took a deep breath. He lifted his head and entered the area, trying to look as proud as possible; though he didn't feel like it.
He stopped and stood there for a moment, staring at the stranger wolves. There didn't seem to be a leader around, neither idd this pack feel like a real pack. He took another deep breath again and spoke: ''H-hello... I'm sorry for intruding...''

Aderyn watched as Claudius addressed the wolves, and one of them gave a reply which he then trailed off. Her right ear flicked down and then up and she blinked at him as he asked what Claudius asked again. He really couldn't remember? Addy's first impression of this wolf was that he was a bit odd, but she didn't mind.
Aderyn immediately became a bit apprehensive as the wolf who had called himself 'Chase' bounded over to another wolf. It was obviously a wolf he knew pretty well. How many more wolves were there? If there were more wolves, frankly, Claudius, Affy and her were just a bit unlucky, since neither her or her sister were skilled in fighting and even while Claudius was a good fighter, if her mind served her correctly, if there were more wolves they'd still be beaten, most probably.
"Oh yeah its me, Chance and Chaim. But I dont know where Chaim is. He's disappeared i think. We finded this pack! We might join. You should too! Where is Cas and Alexis? Are they here with you. Can i see them?"
Addy's brown fur immediately spiked up on end at the mention of three more wolves. The mentioned wolves, plus with the wolves currently in front of them made six. A flash of worry immediately shot through Addy, if her mind served her correctly there were six wolves in the Guild at the moment, two of those being pups, leaving four grown wolves. Six against four, that really didn't look like good odds.
But then the word 'join' sunk into the she-wolf. They might join? Instantly a huge weight lifted from her. More wolves would be good in the Guid, she could make more friends too! She smiled at them in a friendly way, immediately dropping her neutral look and worried ideas.
"Let's go and join Agro on the hunt, before he gets fed up of waiting and eats Damian."
"Now, hold up, you three. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. We are currently going on a hunt. Would you care to join us? We can talk about you joining the guild once we've eaten, hmm?"
Aderyn grinned. "Yea." Aderyn watched as Claudius ran off, she turned to follow him but looked over her shoulder at the wolves, waiting for them. The rusty brown she-wolf began to calm down and tried to act friendly towards them. "You coming?" she grinned. She then turned around and was about to streak after Claudius.
''H-hello... I'm sorry for intruding...''
Aderyn swung her head around, fur immediately spiking up and saw another wolf. Was this one of the wolves Chase had mentioned? She doubted it. The she-wolf made her fur lie flat, trying to show no signs of hostility. Since Claudius had ran off she decided to speak first instead of Afanen.
"Hello," she said calmly. She paused for a moment thinking on how to go about this. Addy wasn't one of those wolves who had a natural air of authority or knew what to say in situations like this. "What's your name? Do you have any business here?"

Mikazaru saw one of the wolves watching him after he had spoken. It scared him for a second, but soon he took another deep breath and tried to remain calm. He took another step forward, then took the same step back again, not sure if he would walk over to them. He had lost his confidence.
''Hello,''
The female spoke to him, and Mikazaru didn't know how to respond to her call. He concidered to turn around and run, but knew he would be seen as a coward by doing that, and then he would probably never have a change of joining this pack ever in his life. If it even was a pack.
"What's your name? Do you have any business here?", the female asked him and he swallowed. He sat down, trying to calm down a bit.
''I'm... Mikazaru. But everybody calls me Mika, mostly.'', he mumbled to the female as a response. He took a few glances around at the other wolves. There were a lot of them. He had never seen so many wolves together before. ''Big pack...'', he mumbled. ''What's your name...?''
(Lamer post, lol. Can't think of anything to type. o3o)

Aderyn watched the new wolf carefully. He didn't seem hostile, far from hostile in fact. She noticed he looked kind of nervous, she couldn't exactly blame him, there were five strange wolves and he didn't know if they were hostile or not.
''I'm... Mikazaru. But everybody calls me Mika, mostly.Big pack...What's your name...?''
"My name's Aderyn, but you can call me Addy if it's too hard to pronounce or anything. And this," she flicked her tail at her sister, not caring if Affy minded that Addy introduced her, "is Afanen. But I call her Affy." Addy twitched her ears. "We're not exactly a pack..." Addy trailed off, referring how to most of the wolves here weren't in the Guild also the fact that they were a Guild. "It's hard to explain," she cut it short and got to the point.
Noticing Mika hadn't exactly answered her question about why he was here. "So," she started dragging the 'o' out, "why are you here? Or are you just passing through?" Aderyn really wasn't too good at this talking to strangers thing in a responsible, cuatious and mature way,

Mikazaru swallowed again as he saw this wolf studying him. He didn't know how to react to being into view of six or more wolves. He wasn't even sure if there were only six wolves here. Maybe there were even more hiding in the bushes, waiting for the right moment to strike.
He couldn't trust these wolves, even how nice they might look. At least, not yet.
"My name's Aderyn, but you can call me Addy if it's too hard to pronounce or anything. And this,", the female spoke and she looked over to another wolf, who seemed to be family of hers. ''is Afanen. But I call her Affy.''
"We're not exactly a pack...", she said as she trailed off. Mikazaru looked around; this looked like a pack, but still there was indeed something off, when the black wolf conpared it to a real pack. There was no leader. At least, it didn't look to him like there was a leader around.
A pack without a leader? How could that ever be a pack?
"It's hard to explain.'', the wolf called Aderyn spoke, trying to keep her story short. She studyed him once more.
"So,", she started. "why are you here? Or are you just passing through?"
The question hit Mikazaru hard in the face, he didn't know how to answer it.
Should he tell this Aderyn he was looking for a home and a family, or should he lie and tell her he was just passing through, getting here by accident?
He wanted to lie, to get out of here, to run away from this place. But he knew he had found a place he maybe could call home, and he should at least try to get into the family.
It didn't bother him if they didn't call him family, he just wanted some company so he could survive. He thought deep and decided to tell her the truth. He cleared his throat, ready to give her a honest answer.
''I... I'm looking for a home, a family to join.'', he spoke and he sat down, looking around at the other wolves again. He still felt a bit uncomfortable, but maybe this wasn't so bad after all. He knew he had to convice these wolves he was good enough for them, that they could use his skills to survive. He added some more to his introduction. ''I'm pretty good at sneaking up on prey, you could use me.''
The last part of the sentence made him want to run against a tree with his head. 'They could use him'? That sounded like the worst answer ever.
But still, he didn't bother to be used. As long as he had a safe, warm home with good company, he felt great. And a lot of other wolves had used him in his lifetime, he had gotten used to that.
''I can also swim. Not that well, or for long, but i can swim.'', he added some more to his skills. He iddn't know what else to say to Aderyn.

Aderyn watched the nervous Mikazuru while she waited for an answer. Her left ear flicked down then up, she couldn't blame him for being shy and nervous. If she was in his position she might just be even more nervous and shy. While Aderyn was generally a wolf with a happy, bubbly and sometimes hyper-acive personality she could be rather shy, nervous and reserved when meeting new wolves especially if they seemed rather big, brutish and scary to her.
Aderyn blinked as she saw him look at her and the rest of the wolves and she supposed he was thinking what on earth they were and comparing them to other packs. She had made a similar comparison when she had first stumbled upon the Guild. It took her a day or two get her head around on that they were a Guild not a pack.
''I... I'm looking for a home, a family to join. I'm pretty good at sneaking up on prey, you could use me. I can also swim. Not that well, or for long, but I can swim.''
Aderyn's dark ears immediately perked up and she grinned. "Well look no further, Mika!" she smiled widely using his nickname. What a day! Four new members! Brilliant! It was only morning too! "You'll have to talk to the Meisters first of course though! They're over in the hunting grounds."
Addy then spun around to face her sister and exclaimed excitedly, "Hey Affy! Isn't this great? It's only morning and we've met four new wolves who're probably going to join the Guild!" Then she added teasingly. "And don't you give a grumpy reply, Razzy!"

Mikazaru listened carefully as this Aderyn spoke to him in a pretty cheerful way. It made him feel a lot safer already to hear her speak like this.
"Well look no further, Mika!"
"You'll have to talk to the Meisters first of course though! They're over in the hunting grounds."
Aderyn turned around to face her sister, who she called Affy. What was her real name again? Afanen, right? Mikazaru looked around again, trying to find those Meisters Aderyn had told him about. They were at the hunting grounds, she said, but Mikazaru didn't exactly know where to find these hunting grounds. He was pretty much lost in this place without any directions.
"Hey Affy! Isn't this great? It's only morning and we've met four new wolves who're probably going to join the Guild!"
Mikazaru didn't hear anything more of Aderyns words. His mind began to spin around as he heard the word Guild. So this was not a pack, but called a Guild.
Mikazaru didn't exactly know what a Guild was, but he decided not to ask, as he was afraid they might see him as some moron who doesn't understand a thing.
Instead he asked Aderyn: ''So I gotta speak to the Meisters first? Where can I find the hunting grounds?''

Aderyn turned around to face Mika. "We were just about to go there," she smiled. "The Guild were actually going to do some hunting until we met Chance, Chase and Blake here,” she said the names slowly, not sure if she remembered rightly and looked at them with a kind of ‘is that right?’ look. “The hunting grounds are over there,” she angled her ears towards the way where Claudius had gone just a few minutes before.
Aderyn then smiled, suspecting Mika was thinking along the lines of ‘what on earth does a Guild do?’ and stuff like that. “We’re not all that different from a normal pack really,” she yet again looked at Chance, Chase and Blake as if to say this was an explanation for them as well, which it was. “We of course look after each other and hunt in very much normal pack ways. However, we don’t stay in one place; we travel around a bit and help out packs that need help,” she tried to explain as best she could. “I think that’s pretty much it,” she smiled sheepishly. “I’m not very good at explaining this.”
She really wasn’t.
“Well,” Addy looked at all the wolves around here, “let’s go! We don’t want to miss the hunt!” she grinned. She started to walk the way that Claudius had gone but for some reason she decided to go onto list the ranks they had in the Guild.
Probably because normally in her eyes her little sister was the one to always be the smarty pants and go on and on and act all intelligent to which Addy admitted her sister was. Now it was Addy to do the explaining and seem smart. As she went along Addy slowed down and eventually stopped, Addy quite frequently did this if she was on the move and explaining something.
“Our ranking system has the Lehrling who are the new members and are still getting to grips with how the Guild works. After this rank there are the Geselle, me and Affy are in that rank, we are one rank yet what we do depends on our abilities, for example, I’m pretty fast so I’m really suited for doing chasing prey while my little sister; Razzy, being the know-it-all she is, is suited for knowing herbs and healing. The Meisters who have the highest rank, they aren’t particularly leaders but we’re the closest thing we have to leaders,” Aderyn then took a deep breath as she finished.
Addy laughed and looked at the possible new members. “I’ve all just confused you now, haven’t I?” She laughed again and said, “Claudius and Agro will probably explain how the Guild works better than I ever will be able to. ”
“Now. Let’s actually go, I don’t want to miss the hunt!” Aderyn said excitedly and walked a few paces forward then burst into what was for her normal pace but might be classed as fast to wolves who weren’t as fast as her.

Take a Chance. . . As the wolf named Claudius gave him a questioning look, Chance replied with a shy lopsided grin and a shrug of his shoulders. His brother was just the way he was. There was no explanation for it. (Except that sometimes he wondered if when they were still young Chase was dropped on his head.) Claudius called out to them all speaking of a hunt. Food would be good, even if they weren't allowed to stay. Chance allowed his tail to swish slowly in agreement of going with the male. Glancing at Chase and Blake he gave a small woof to call them. Turning back to Claudius he tilted his head at the other male's chuckling, wondering who or what Damian was and why Agro would choose eating it over something else. Shaking his head Chance wearily followed the male to the hunting grounds of which he spoke. Casting a glance back at Chase and Blake, he hoped the would followed quickly so that he wouldn't be left alone. ~To the hunting grounds . . . to meet a pack |

Addy then spun around to face her sister and exclaimed excitedly, "Hey Affy! Isn't this great? It's only morning and we've met four new wolves who're probably going to join the Guild!" Then she added teasingly. "And don't you give a grumpy reply, Razzy!"
Ane just rolled her eyes at her sister and didn't responde. The whole time all the introduction was going on around her she just stood there quietly listening to everyone NOT really interested in joining. After all shy was sorta her middle name.
The female flicked her ears time to time, but most of the conversation she was quiet listener. There was nothing more to say really. Seeing others move though, Affy got up and as last one of all followed others.

Mikazaru listened carefully to Aderyn excplaning the situation to him. So the hunting grounds were there, and they were actually going there already. He could come along with them, follow them and meet these Meisters he needed to talk to there.
It made him feel more nervous again, but he knew there was good chance of him being accepted. But first he had to talk to these Meisters, of course.
Then Aderyn spoke to him again some more, explaining what a Guild was.
''We’re not all that different from a normal pack really. We of course look after each other and hunt in very much normal pack ways. However, we don’t stay in one place; we travel around a bit and help out packs that need help.''
''I think that’s pretty much it. I’m not very good at explaining this.''
Mikazaru smiled at her and nodded his head in a way to thank her for her explanation.
''Thanks, I think I know a bit more now. I don't think you're bad at explaning it all, you gave me a clear view of what a Guild does.'', he said.
She said she wanted to go to the hunting grounds, because she didn't want to mis anything from it. But instead she kept standing there, taking to him. She even explained him all the Guild's ranks.

''Sure, can't wait.''
She walked off, excited for the hunt and Mikazaru nodded again, a last time. He followed her on her way to the hunting grounds, as he was afraid he might get lost if he didn't go after her.
