“I'm fine.”
Damian nuzzled his sister as she buried her head into his neck. He would normally push her away with this type of affection, but after the little event, Damian pushed back that habit and bite down on it hard. He was going to protect and comfort his sister, even if he didn't like the mushy stuff. “Good” He muttered into her soft cream coat before giving her another nuzzle.
"Takes a lot for little'uns to hold their own. Blacktalon, through and through these two."
Damian looked up at Agro and frowned. “The pits made us this way” He asserted with a harsh tone. “And...a little bit because of the guild” He murmured, not happy to admit that the guild had helped. The guild had looked after them during the winter months and had let the pups be as brash as they wanted to be to a certain content. It had strengthened the pups in a totally different way the pits did. Damian couldn't explain it, but he knew after his month of so with the pack, it had changed him, even if only a little. It had changed him. Though, he was not sure whether he liked it or not.
"Yes, proper guild members,"
“Pity you're not a proper guild member like us” He sneered up at Claudius. He did not care that he came to their rescue. The coyotes were already fleeing by the time he came.
"Let's get 'em back to the camp."Agro said."Dams ain't had a chance to grab a bite yet."
“Oh, no. You're not picking me up!” Damian argued as eh tried to escape from the old male's jaws. He didn't want to be carried like a baby. He had enough of that for one day. “Look, I can walk, old man” He directed as he tried to demonstrate his walking abilities. However, before he knew it, Damian was lifted up over the male's head and came to rest on his shoulders. The pup looked around with wide eyes. Not once had Agro carried him this way. Damian preferred it, than being carried by the jaws. He'd rather walk, but he'd take what he was given. The little pup slowly rested his head on Agro's fur and curled up into a ball with his injured foot hanging in the air. It hurt, but he knew it was nothing too serious. It would heal in time. He snuggled up into the male's fur and closed his eyes. “I still don't like you” He muttered with a growl laced in there somewhere as he started to doze off. The little pup was tired from all the events, it wore him down.

“Good” Dakota stayed nuzzled in her brothers neck for a moment. She didn't want to move, she wanted to savour the fact that they had survived. Once again, they had survived an attack, though this time Dakota didn't save her brother, but it was good that neither of them go too hurt. A stiff neck and a hurt leg was the most of it this time, which Dakota was thankful for, because if Damian was injured any more she may have decided to kill him instead. She had jumped into the heat of battle without thinking to protect her brother from those stinky coyotes, but in the end Agro and the Claudius saved them both instead. She frowned at the thought; she couldn't save her brother this time...did that mean she was getting weaker being in a guild? She of course knew it was smarter to stay within a guild; she and her brother were still pups after all, and despite their fighting, they were obviously weaker due to their age and size. Still, Dakota wasn't used to getting help, so it made her uneasy. She'd never needed anyone except for her brother.
“I'm going to kill you later for running off like that.” and leaving her. But she thought it best to leave that part out of it, otherwise he'd only tease her like a good brother would do. She stayed nuzzled into her brother for the comfort and warmth until Agro spoke."Takes a lot for little'uns to hold their own. Blacktalon, through and through these two." “The pits made us this way”“And...a little bit because of the guild” Dakota thought about what Agro had said, “Blacktalon, through and through, huh?” She pulled away from Damian with a hidden wince at her neck and didn't look at Agro, “I guess this means when you get your butts kicked, we have to come and help you.” Dakota scoffed to them. In a way that was her own way of saying thank you. Of course, this pup was too proud for that, especially when Claudius was in the vicinity, “I guess that'll be pretty soon with Claudius' track record.” Dakota joked."Clauds, help Dakota." “What?” She dead-panned as she looked at Agro. “I can walk fine. I don't need help.” She frowned when Claudius stepped towards her and backed away from him, but he followed Agro and did the same to her as he had done to her brother. She grumbled and then winced with a little cough. She huffed and just laid on top of Claudius' back, “Don't go drowning me with your tears.” Dakota stated to him. She had seen the tears that he blinked away when talking to Agro. “I don't want your pity.”
Dakota moved her eyes to Damian and make a face to show that she didn't like her situation as much as him. She didn't even need to speak to him to convey her emotions and what she was saying. She watched him doze on Agro and sighed to herself, she decided to follow suit, but she didn't want to fall asleep on Claudius. Why did she have to be stuck with him, she thought with a grumble. Though, despite her words, she could feel herself dozing.Wolves Addressed: Agro, Damian, Claudius

Claudius continued to walk after Agro. He had calmed down after his fight with the coyote, and was in a little daze. He hadn't had a fight like that in ages, where he had felt nothing but pure fury. It had worn him out a little.
“Don't go drowning me with your tears. I don't want your pity.”
He had ignored Dakota when she said she could walk, but growled quietly when she said about pitying her.
"Don't worry, you don't have my pity. I don't pity anyone, pitying them won't help."[/i]
He was silent for a moment. Discussing his dead siblings always made him upset, so he tried to avoid the subject. He hadn't even told Agro about them, or his father. As far as the other guild members were concerned, he had just left his pack. Although his story wasn't as rough as some of the other guild members, it still hurt him to talk about it.
But, he didn't want to bottle up his feelings, either. He glanced up. He knew Agro was in earshot, and wanted him to hear what he was about to tell Dakota as well.
"I had a brother and sister, once. Thick as thieves, we all were. We were always together, hardly ever separated. We had to leave the pack one day, wolves getting sick. As we travelled, my brother and sister got sick, too. I didn't. Every day, I had to watch them waste away, getting sicker and sicker, knowing I couldn't do anything about it. The last time I saw them, my sister couldn't move, she was lying in the dirt, my brother standing next to her, screaming her name. I left, my mother wanted me to be safe, and as I left, my brother cried after me. I was told a few months later that they were dead. My last memory of them is my brother, crying my name as my uncle carried me away. I was only a pup myself, but I had never felt like such a coward in my entire life. I never forgave myself, and I never will forgive myself. I will never see my brother and sister again, and I feel like it's my fault. That is why I was crying. Because I can never have what you and Damian have. Ever again."
Claudius remained silent after his speech, fighting off his tears, willing them to stay away. He continued walking, hoping that that was the end of it, and he would never have to speak about this again.

Agro listened to the tale that Claudius spun. He didn't realize what the other Meister had gone through in his younger days. His own childhood had been uneventful. Unless the emotional distance between his siblings was something unusual. He sure had a lot of them, and while most dispersed and hardly knew the others, he'd gotten to know a few of them pretty well. In fact, Leon had been among the first of the Blacktalon Meisters before he'd retired. His brother, Tank, was the spitting image of him, but a gentler spirit, more like Mana, their delicate sister. Agro had stuck around for Sche's birth, and even for his father's finding of a new mate after his mother's death.
After that, when his half brothers were born, things got ugly. He thought they were hellions and knaves, cheats and scoundrels the whole litter of them. His father old and mad, his father's mate emotionally vapid and weak, he felt some shame at the siblings and this growing family, and went with his elder brother, Leon.
He wondered if life would've been different without these various siblings, or what he would've become had he a few close brothers or sisters he could've turned to from that young age. He'd never really know, however.
Agro liked that Claudius still could feel those sort of things. It took a strong wolf to allow himself to express his pain like that. He smirked to himself, as he realized that years of acting too tough or too callous had really turned him into to such a wolf. He hoped the cubs never lost their ability to really care about each other.
He thought to offer some kind word to his fellow Meister, but he wouldn't do so in front of the cubs. Perhaps when they got them nestled back into the den, while they planned for Bloomsday.
The pup across his back muttered his resolve to dislike the old wolf. Agro would typically laugh and give his pelt a good shake, show that pup that a little respect could literally carry you pretty far.
"Twerp." Was all he muttered under his breath, smirking despite himself. Maybe a good rest would clear this smug little pup's head a bit.

"Don't worry, you don't have my pity. I don't pity anyone, pitying them won't help." Dakota groaned to herself, wishing that she hadn't said anything at all. She felt that he was going to go all storyteller on her butt and she really didn't want to be awake for that. She tried with all her might to get to sleep, but Claudius kept talking. She wondered if there was a way for him to not?
“Can you stop the need for words to come out of your mouth? I really don't care.” Dakota smiled slightly when there was a silent moment. She thought he was going to leave it there, but alas, he did not."I had a brother and sister, once. “Fascinating.” Dakota wished that the story would finish there but he continued to explain about his sick siblings and how much he blamed himself and blah blah blah. Dakota really couldn't care less with Claudius' sob story. The only wolf she cared about was her brother and herself. That was who mattered to her. Claudius was certainly not on that list.“I left, my mother wanted me to be safe, and as I left, my brother cried after me. “Look, I don't know why you're telling me, but really, I don't care.” Dakota stated as she rolled her eyes, “You left so you wouldn't get sick, but stop complaining about the past. “ Dakota was trying to sleep and his sob story was interrupting that process.
“You decided not to stay, so you could save your own life. Now that's your choice. It's not cowardly. It's just selfish.” another statement left Dakota's mouth, but before Claudius could interject she continued, “And before you cry at that thought, wolves are selfish, just like pretty much any other species out there.”
Dakota was unimpressed with Claudius opening up to her. She didn't care if he left his sibling. She knew that she would never do that to Damian. She would rather die with him or try and find a way of helping him. Three points in her life demonstrated that fact, the first was when she saved Damian's life in the pits and escaped with him. Second, was when they were travelling alone and tired, Dakota stayed with Damian in the snow to keep him warm; and thirdly, was her reckless thinking of jumping in, to save him from the coyotes.“That is why I was crying. Because I can never have what you and Damian have. Ever again." Dakota growled at the way he ended his little speech. It was if he was blaming her for the relationship she had with her brother. “Excuse me. It's not like it was my fault that happened to you.” Dakota jumped off Claudius' back with a frown at what he said and a wince at her neck. “Dame and I grew up in the pits. You should be thankful that you had a relationship with your siblings, because if we hadn't escaped, then Dame and I would probably be pitted against each other. We would've had to kill each other. With out bare teeth. So sorry I don't feel any sympathy, but you could've had it a lot worse. Appreciate what you've got.” Dakota ranted with a frown before turning away from him and walking over to Agro and her brother. She said nothing, but just padded next to him as to be close to her brother.Wolves Addressed: Claudius Wolves Mentioned: Damian, Agro To the Den~

Damian was trying to doze off, but something kept him it. It was oozing and intoxicating. It was Claudius' annoying presence. The wolf just wouldn't shut up. If Damian ever felt sympathy, it would be now, for his sister. She was stuck with him and for once, Damian felt lucky that he was with Agro and not the white idiot. The small pup let out a snarl as he continued to talk.
Damian began to fall asleep when Claudius finally decided to shut his mouth. However, it didn't last long. He soon opened his trap and his sob story came rolling out. He had the urge to go over to him and bite him again. This pup had no time for sob stories. He had lived his own and he never complained about it. It sort of made him proud. He come from a terrible background, where many didn't come out alive, but he did. He was alive and kicking, unlike many of his kennel mates.
He smiled lightly at his sister's words. She was just as mean as he was sometimes and it made him laugh. Though, the pup was right. Claudius could cry and moan all he liked, but it wasn't going to bring back his siblings. He had to move forward, and if he was expecting pity from the pups, he had another thing coming. Damian and Dakota had a bad life before living here, but they never companied, they didn't see the point. However, Claudius whining about a simple illness was driving the pup insane. Claudius only suffered the lose of two siblings. Damian suffered the loss of most of his kennel mates, his leg, his tail, his pride and his puppyhood. Damian and his sister had lost a lot, but with the guild, they could rebuild what they have lost.
“That is why I was crying. Because I can never have what you and Damian have. Ever again."
“Idiot” He mumbled as he opened one eye that glared at the white wolf. “Of course you can! Just because they're not blood, doesn't mean they're not family, you fool. Do you not class Agro as family? The girls? The newbies? They are you're family now and if you can't see that, then you don't deserve them.” He snorted before he curled back up into a ball.
"Twerp."
“And you can shut up” Damian growled as he pushed his good leg into Agro's neck. It wouldn't hurt the male, but it was all that the pup could muster. Then he slowly closed his eyes and drifted off into a small nap.
